Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DongleControl software and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DongleControl provides church presentation software including DongleControl Projector and DongleControl Engine. The Service includes desktop applications, web dashboard, and related services for managing presentations and licenses.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

Paid features require a subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable fees for your chosen plan
  • Provide valid payment information
  • Automatic renewal at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

5. License Grant

Each license is valid for one machine at a time. You may:

  • Install and use the software on one computer per license
  • Deactivate and transfer your license to a different machine
  • Use the free features without a license

You may not share, resell, or distribute licenses to third parties.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Circumvent licensing restrictions or copy protection
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

DongleControl and its licensors retain all rights to the software, trademarks, and content. Your subscription grants you a limited license to use the software, not ownership.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DONGLECONTROL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, though you may export your data before termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
